The Wayfarers Walk extends 70 miles between Inkpen Beacon just across the Berkshire border in the north and the south coast near Portsmouth, passing through many lovely Hampshire villages.
There is much in these villages to tempt Wayfarers off the route for a while - not least those special places that have both a lovely cricket ground and a country real ale pub – the natural habitat of a Wayfarer! One of the many on the Walk is the famous old Bat & Ball ground on Broadh’penny Down at Hambledon, where HWCC make annual pilgrimage to play the Broadh’penny Brigands on the hallowed turf!
